Admissions Considerations
  • Evaluation through objective and subjective criteria

  • Individual applicant needs

  • Teachers and staff assess applicants based on :

    • Admissions applications

    • Student and family interviews

    • Samples of student work

    • Full-day student shadow visits

Objective Criteria

  • Returning students receive first priority.

  • Siblings of current students and former Circle School families are given priority consideration.

  • Admission is subject to the number of available spaces in each class based on pre-set guidelines.

Subjective Criteria

Students who demonstrate the following qualities are more likely to succeed in our learning environment:

  • Respect for the environment, others, and themselves.

  • Honesty and awareness of personal responsibility

  • Passion for learning

Preschool Admissions

Students must be fully toilet independent before enrolling in our program. We are not equipped or licensed to accommodate children in diapers or pull-ups. Teachers will provide assistance as needed, but children must be capable of managing toileting independently.

Student Supports

As a small program, we are unable to provide the necessary support for students with significant academic or behavioral needs.

  • Families must disclose any student needs or requested supports in the application and upload relevant documentation, such as 504 plans, IEPs, or diagnostic reviews.

  • Students whose needs exceed our campus resources or who exhibit repeated aggressive or disruptive behaviors may not be eligible for continued enrollment/re-enrollment, and may face expulsion.

Non-discrimination Policy

The Circle School is dedicated to fostering children’s intellectual, imaginative and emotional development through a variety of methods while stressing a cultural and environmental awareness of the world around them. As an educational community that values diversity and seeks to promote meaningful access to educational opportunity for all, we welcome and strive to accept as many students as possible based on pre-set class sizes. Students have the right not to be discriminated against by The Circle School for reasons of age, creed, ethnic or national origin, gender, disability, political or social affiliation, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
